She is brilliant and talented, and often has her students hanging on her every word. However, she is known to be strict and suffers no fools, so tread lightly.

Professor Binns is actually the ghost of the original Professor Binns; it is said that he died in his sleep one evening in his study, but merely got up and continued teaching as a ghost the next day as if nothing had changed. His classes are known for being rather dry and boring, but he certainly has a passion for magical history!

A serious and rather strict witch, Professor Sinistra is brilliant and well-known in her field. She is known to be a stickler for order—“My tower, my rules!”—but her students enjoy her classes as they often involve midnight trips to the top of the Astronomy Tower to gaze at the night sky.

Madam Hooch is a favorite among many first-years for her sharp wit and the twinkle in her eye that accompanies every order she barks. An avid Quidditch fan, she also referees every Hogwarts Quidditch match and seems to love being on a broomstick more than most things.
